Routes

A Route is the path a vehicle follows to collect and/or deliver items.
For example, a route could be:
  • Dispatch Operator K. Simmons to Central Yard to pick up and deliver a set of crane counterweights and boom sections to the Riverside Construction Site.

Transport Orders

A transport order is a collection of routes.
It can be as simple or complex as you like. A single truck moving one spare part between storage facilities. Or a sequence of 100 trucks, carefully-planned to deliver assets in a specific order to be assembled at an infrastructure project. To help plan and organize your transport operations, Idalia lets you:
  • Assign statuses to each route and to the order as a whole
  • Associate orders with specific projects, allocations, purchase orders, or work orders
  • Write notes, add comments, and upload attachments
You can view each transport order at Dashboard > Transport. Click a specific order to go to its dashboard, where you can plan in more detail.

Payload

The Payload of a route is all items that are either collected or delivered during it.
Payload components come from the asset register.
